I've just instructed the firewall to open port 465, restarted LiveMail and the test messages sitting in my Outbox all got sent. I remembered having to do this for some specialist business software years ago when running Windows XP, so I thought it was probably OK. There is no compulsion to use this service but many of our customers find the service extremely useful and good value.
